2010: What’s In Store For You Romantically As A Single Woman Over 40 ?
This year, my 2010 love relationship and dating predictions for divorced women dating over 40 are revealing the dating trends for the next decade.
Old fashion romantic dating and committed long term relationships are replacing past trends of marriages fraught with infidelity and with prenuptial agreements.
Single women and men are longing to bring back the values that our grandparents and their parents were committed to in their relationships.
Values such as, trust, honesty, compatibility and laughter make living and loving together more enjoyable.
A partner that is there for you in the good times and the hard times is one that is there to make it work no matter what challenges show up in life.
These basic values or ‘relationship glue’ if you will, have been missing in the last several decades.
No matter what your your age, 40, 50 or 60, divorced or single there is a desire to bring balance and commitment back into relationships.
Isn’t that what we all want?
Drum Roll…Dating Predictions For Women Over 40
#1: Cougar Relationships on the Rise
More women will be open to long term relationships with younger men.
As women get beyond 30, the pool of smart, connected and emotionally available men shrinks with each passing year.
Today’s women are better off financially, have worked on becoming self confident in their womanly ways and are ready to feel the appreciation that younger men have to offer for the sexier, smarter older women. Katie Couric, Demi Moore, Madonna, and Goldie Hawn have enjoyed the benefits of older woman, younger men relationships.
More and more divorced woman are looking for the romance and excitement that they get from younger men and never had with their same age or older ex husbands.
Old guys out – young guys in.
#2: Speed Dating Out – Old Fashion Romantic Dating In
Where is the romance in speed dating?
Speed dating hits a speed bump and runs a red light.
Trying to make a quality connection at a speed dating event is like expecting a healthy and nutritious meal from a fast food chain.
No time for romance for these fast talkers.
Women want romance.
Women want men that have honed their skills in intimacy.
Real men who say I love you and mean it by showing through actions not just words.
Real men who don’t cheat.
Real men who are motivated to give a woman what she wants, like a soft place to fall as Dr. Phil mentions in his relationship book, Relationship Rescue.
Men and women want a sense of greater connection as couples.
Real men stand head’s above all the pick up artists.
To get a handle on this, examine why your marriage failed and learn from it.
In 2010 GET REAL and get a REAL MAN.
#3: Tiger Backlash – Infidelity On The Rise:
Prenup’s On The Decline
You don’t have to be Elin Nordegren (Tiger Woods’ wife) to know this simple truth: Husbands with money that don’t want to share it equally, have less incentive not to stray.
Women strike back and say no to prenuptial agreements.
What is in it for her?
Infidelity, it is a sanction for her husband to cheat, lie and have the last word (not to mention the last woman).
Women of 2010 say share everything or no deal.
Let’s face it, dating after divorce with children is no walk in the park.
Marriage is a 50-50 partnership and women are looking for men to step up and be responsible to the relationship as a number one priority.
You get the good, the bad and the in-between.
A Tiger in your tank takes on a whole new meaning.
#4: Frustrated Daters Turn To Arranged Marriages
Here’s a shocker, with reduced success from online dating sites, and speed dating, what is left?
Arranged marriages.
Common in some cultures, arranged marriages are in many cases long lasting and meaningful.
Serious minded daters looking for marriage are turning to astrology match makers to tell them who is and where to find their soul mates.
Some are traveling to India to engage the most experienced to arrange their marriages.
Could an arranged marriage become the next trend?
Could this be a threat to online dating sites?
I say YES (Just Kidding)!
#5: The Cleopatra Factor Favors The Divorced Woman.
Younger women can’t compete with a divorced woman 40 plus, who has embraced her Cleopatra Factor.
One of the best kept secrets is Cleopatra was not considered a beauty in her day. But what she had no woman could compete with.
She was the most alluring, sensual, brilliant woman of her time.
The 2010 woman does not need to meet the beauty and youth standards of yesteryear when she cultivates her Cleopatra assets.
Men can not resist her and women that compete with her are confused but in awe.
2010 is the year to bring back the mystery and allure of what one woman understood and used 2,059 years ago.
#6: Online Dating Sites Are Revealed For What They Are – An Illusion
Online dating sites are becoming less effective for many women and men.
What women have discovered is they give the illusion of a safe, low risk way of finding ‘The One’.
Key word is illusion.
Women are sick and tired of men that lie about everything from their height to their martial status.
Many women are expressing frustration and wondering if, “There are more married men using online dating sites than single available men.
Check out this story of Online Dating Gone Wrong or read about this Internet Dating Scammer that stole women’s hearts, computers, cars and even bank accounts.
The state or condition of being deceived is the definition of illusion.
Does it get any clearer than that?
