Ok it’s that time of the year again and you are still single and not entertaining any great prospects for a future great relationship.
Where did the year go?
Check that, what happened to the whole decade?
You know the one you toasted with champagne at the dawn of the new millennium vowing that the next decade would be different.
It’s time to reevaluate and commit to making a positive change in your love life for good
Here are seven love and relationship resolutions that you’ll want to keep.
7 New Year’s Dating Resolutions for The Coming Year
Resolution #1: Get Serious About a Serious Relationship
Resolution #2: Clean Out What Isn’t Working
Resolution #3: Relax and Enjoy the Ride
Resolution #4: Where Are You Spending Your Time?
Resolution #5: Get Into Action
Sir Isaac Newton could have been talking about the dating life of many single women when he stated in his first law of motion: “A body in rest tends to stay at rest, and a body in motion tends to stay in motion.”
Resolution #6: Get Real With Your Relationship Results
You can make excuses or you can get results but you can’t do both. It’s time to give yourself a little tough love when it comes to accessing your dating performance.
Think about it, if dating was a college class, what grade would you honestly give yourself. Yeah, I know C’s and D’s are technically passing grades in school but do you want to continue to get C’s, D’s and F’s in this critical part of your life?
Resolution #7: Let Go of Your Dating Past
Ok, in Resolution #7, I told you to get real with your relationship results (or lack there of).
Now that you’ve taken stock of your past, you need to keep the lessons learned and stop repeating romance mistakes of yesteryear.
So, don’t beat your self up, it’s time to move on.
Your stock broker actually has it right, no matter what his or her track record in the market is, past performance is not a guarantee of future results.
Translation: You are not your dating and relationship past and it’s ok (actually required to) to let go of it.
You can and deserve a brighter romantic future.
So in conclusion, make finding real lasting love a priority. You’ll never regret that you did.
Get rid of anything that is weighing you down boyfriends, girlfriends, old clothes, body fat you name it. 2010 is the beginning of a new you.
Get serious about attracting love but don’t be serious, no attitudes allowed. Let to let your hair down, relax, be yourself but a new and improved version.
Figure out where you time is going. Plug the leaks and unplug the tube. Put this new found time to use in ‘target rich environments’… go to where the guys are.
Get movin and your love life will be groovin. You can do it. Take the first step. Then take another step. And then another. Pretty soon you’ll forget those lonely nights and weekends because you’ll be to busy dating great guys.
Get real with your relationship results and let go of your dating past.
Learn your lessons from dating and relationship disasters and then move on.
